0.2.0 FINAL

And here it finally is. After months and months and months of finger-breaking[1] work, it’s finally done. Changelog is minimal going from RC4:

  • added new entries to the help menu for the online manual and the FAQ

Now cue tens of thousands of 0.1.9 users screaming “WHY DO I ONLY SEE JUST THE FIRST PAGE??!!”. See the FAQ.

Footnotes

[1] Like back-breaking, only for programmers.

  3. Sorry for all the work but I don't like it at all to must browse trough all the text chapters, I liked the old sigil much more then this.
Sorry but please give us back some option that it looks like the old sigil where we don't have to use the book view and see the book like it is.
We are with 7 workers and convert some books, none of us like it.,it's almost unworkable.
We would like to make a donation when we can get our old sigil back.
We like your work, thats for sure, but we don't like the new sigil !

  4. The old look will not be back. It was unworkable from a technical perspective. There are countless reasons why the old "single flow" was a bad idea, from performance to correctness when loading epubs.

The new look is here to stay, and there won't be an option to switch back to the old one. It would mean supporting two completely different applications, since the back-end can't support both.

The new workflow is far more powerful and you can do anything you could do in the old one plus much, much more.

  5. @Nick since the old Sigil is still available to use go ahead and donate.

I'll gladly give up the old view to be able to find and replace items (quickly)in the whole document at once.

!!Two thumbs up for that option, it works great!!

  6. This is amazing software. If you ever wanted to make it a program that writers can use to write their books in, that would be awesome. The ability to move scenes around is already there.

    Great work!

  7. hi, it is a great and useful job, however I have a problem (sorry if it is not the right page to past it) when I add a line of code about an audio file for iPad, this line is removed when I save the file, is there a way to keep my coding? thanks,

  8. You should ask in the Sigil subforum on Mobileread and also post the code you're having problems with.
